Digital Sexsations FAQ Page

Q: I don't have a nine pin com port I have a 25 pin com port (or I have a big connector with a lot of pins sticking out, but nothing your cable would plug into).

A: You need to get an adapter. Go to almost any computer store (or Radio Shack, Cat# 950-0271) and ask for a DB25F to DB9M adapter.

Q: My toys stopped working.

A: Try disconnecting the power from the Black Box (at the Black Box) and reconnecting it; this will usually fix the problem.  We recommend that you disconnect power when not in use.

Q: One of my toys isn't working.

A: First make sure that the non-working toy is all the way plugged in. Try unplugging it and plugging it back in. Then plug the toys into the included battery pack. If the toy still doesn't work it is probably a bad or worn out toy and needs to be replaced. If the toys works when plugged into the battery pack but not the Black Box then e-mail us technical support.

Q: How do I get text to stop scrolling by?

A: Go into the settings screen and uncheck the box next to Display Signaling Messages.

Q: My box stops working when I turn all the toys to 100% or when I turn certain toys on all the way.

A: You probably have one toy that is draining to much power (often shorted). The Black Box will try to protect itself by resetting when this happens. Try to isolate the toy causing the problem and replace it.

Q: My computer locked up while I was running chat does this mean that I can't run your software.

A: No it does not. It is unfortunately common for windows to lock up and you must reboot the machine as you normally would.

Q: I get a 'Unable to Use Com Port ...' error or I have everything hooked up and my toys don't do anything.

A: That means either the com port is in use by another application (you can't have 'Enable Video and Stories' running at the same time as chat because they both want to control the Black Box) or you have selected the wrong port. Go to the setting screen (as shown in tour) and change the port number to match the com port that the Black Box is plugged into. If you do not know which port is which just rotate through them (it won't hurt anything if you try the wrong one).

Q: In Netscape sometimes when I go to play a movie I go into browser hell (multiple browsers popping up).

A: You have reloaded the page. You need to close Netscape (and all of the windows) and then re-open Netscape and return to the page you were viewing.

Q: Where can I go for help if my questions aren't answered here?

A: If you still have questions please e-mail technical support.
